Champion [WoEChamp]

If there's any class in RO that has the most unique playstyle, it's Champion. The learning curve for a champion is surprisingly high. Anyone can asura, but to excell in this class takes more finesse. In order to truly succeed as a champion, you need 3 things: patience, intelligence, and an eye for the bigger picture in WoE.

In GvGs most people think Champ playstyle should be glamorous with single champs speed pot asuraing into the enemy guild in GvG, but nothing else is further from the truth. Look at most WoE videos and watch Champs try to fish against a full guild. You'll notice they fail in some way 90% of the time. Either they take damage and have to snap back, they die on the way (dispel + AD), or 10% they're able to get the asura off. If they do get the asura off, it's either Kaupe'd or tanked by an apple'd devo, more often than not they die after most of the time and never make it back. Point is, stop trying to fish randomly. It just doesn't work against good guilds and wastes your foods.

In reality the majority of your kills will be "trash kills". You clean shit up behind, around and inside the guild. Ground control. The back flank, and last line of defence. This is your role. You have to focus on the guild itself and around it. This is so that you can ensure nothing else distracts the rest of the guild from doing their job (focusing at the main enemy guild at the front). Do not be aggressive on a Champion in a full on GVG. You are the guild's protector, not it's star. Refrain from fishing out people unless it's in an organized rush, or someone does something really stupid, so you have a better chance of survival.

Know the key PLAYERS of enemy guilds. Dominate them on sight if they're not in the saftey of their guild's block. You have a better chance of fishing an enemy player if they're within 5 cells of the front line. Any further than that, and you'll most likely see the Inn.

I have seen countless times champions focusing too much at looking for an opportunity to fish. They're up at the front speed potting. Instead if they had focused more defensively, they could have easily killed that recaller that just squeezed through, or that very important MB prof speed potting getting past the guild.

General responsibilities:

1. Friend the SPP Creators before WoE. Use "/hi FCP PLEASE" if you need FCP.

2. Ground control. Your main priority. Immediately Asura anyone who gets inside the guild, and be the main back force behind the guild. As such your attention should be around the guild as a whole, refrain from trying to be aggressive at the front. Your kills will come to you. Focus on staying alive. People are counting you to do this correctly. Watch the emblems in the guild, and use that to find any enemies. Most of the classes that do this are Gypsies, WSs, SinXs and Profs.

3. Pneuma. Your second priority. Pneuma the front line occassionally if there are no targets available to you. It's not hard to pneuma in a general area and keep your eyes elsewhere. You do NOT have to see the front line of the enemy block. Stay in the back of the LP, the front is crowded enough already.

4. Watch out for other fishing champions (if they're really that gutsy). You will see them enter your screen on their own. Absorb Spirit Sphere. They will drop instantly.

5. If you can spare the SP. Bless/Agi people. If you're in SP song, this won't take too many blues. You are an aco class, and do have access to the best buffs in game. Use them.

6. Occassionally recast Fury and Zen. Just in case you've been dispelled or sphere absorbed.

7. Always cast "Sight" or "Ruwach". Always.

Push responsibilities:

1. During the countdown, rebuff yourself. Bless/AGI/Fury/Spheres/Ruwach or Sight. Also Pneuma at the front of the guild.

2. When the countdown ends, do not hesitate. You have 2 choices depending on the orders of the WoE leader:

a ) You can speed pot Asura with guild support and attempt to fish. If the guild is focusing in a certain try to focus there also. This is your best time to fish. Higher chance of surviving but still risky. After your asura, switch to a defense headgear (if you didn't have one on), summon a sphere, snap back into the guild, or just run with the speed pot. Once you're safe rebuff and:

b ) (Or) Help pneuma over the front rank. Asura any overly aggressive counter-rushers.

3. Help to hold the new line until the next order to push is given. If any enemy character is within 4 cells of the guild still, feel free to continue fishing.

Rush/wipe responsibilities:

1. During the countdown, rebuff yourself. Bless/AGI/Fury/Spheres/Ruwach or Sight. Also Pneuma at the front of the guild.

2. When the countdown ends, do not hesitate.

3. Speed pot and Asura. Clean up the trash. Move back inside the safety of the guild after each asura if you feel you have to when you rebuff.

4. If we are rushing for the purpose of breaking Guardian Stones, snap past the defending guild, and focus your concentration on the stone. If possible, Asura the Guild Leader of the defending guild.

Counter-rush responsibilities:

1. Do not panic. Do not retreat. Stay in a tight group.

2. Rebuff yourself.

3 Being Asura spamming. This is your time to shine. Drop the Profs, Creators, and other Champions. However, in this case prioritize speed over choice.

All in all, Champion is a ridiculously powerful class. Do not waste that potential.

Read and learn how to play it correctly.

Como se comportar durante GvG:
-Não tente ser um herói!
-Faça o ground control.
-Mate qualquer classe que entrar dentro do nosso LP ou que está próximo a ele, nesse caso no máximo 5 células e sempre use speed pot para fazer isso.
-Tenha sempre box of sunlight.

O player dessa classe precisa somente de ter atenção e paciência.
