Clown Guide 101 [WoEClown]

Entrusted with the 2nd most important job in WoE. The guild has no chance of succeeding without proper clown support. Realize your own importance and take your job seriously. Stay alive. Realize how big the AoE of your songs are, and use that to your advantage. Proper positioning is key to playing this class effectively. You do not need to be in the very front rank, but close to it.

General responsibilities:

1. Make sure you friend the linkers before WoE. Use "/hi CLOWN LINK" to ask for link. This way the linkers know what skill to use.

2. Stay alive. Do not move out of the block. There's not very many clown in a guild generally.

3. Flash your songs. This is your #1 priority. You can accomplish this by instrument switching. The best skill cycle: SP song - switch - Bragi - switch - Lutie - switch - repeat. Continue flashing these 3 songs and ensure you cover everyone in your zone with the song. Few people realize that a Clown's SP song is better than an FS Gypsy's SP song. Your most important songs:

4. Always ensure that Bragi is on at the front, at the least.

5. Always ensure Lutie is casted on the Paladins, at the least.

6. It will be decided which of the clowns will take the front zone (2 aggressive clowns) or back zone (1 defensive clown). Ensure you remember throughout the WoE.

7. Communicate with your partners. If you die, ensure they know so they can pick up your job, also.

8. Generally refrain from Frost Joking. There is no point unless we're rushing/wiping a guild. Please remember your first priority is songs.

9. During a GvG do not Tarot. Do not AV. If you do either of these, you ensure yourself of a guild kick.

10. Friend the SPP Creators before WoE. Use "/hi FCP PLEASE" if you need FCP.

Positioning:

Positioning is very important on a clown, too many times have i seen clowns on the edge of LP as well as on the corners. Clowns should try to stand either 2 or 3 cells behind the edge of LP, i suggest that you leave 1 row of bragi leaking off LP for creators and sometimes prof who walk off a bit as well as to stand in the middle of the guild where your songs can affect the most people. If you're a defensive bragi DON'T try to be a hero by standing up front... you're only being an idiot dissonancing songs, stay back unless told to move up because the primary clown has died.

The best way to ensure you stay inside the guild at all times is to shift + left click members of our guild when you would like to move around. This will walk you into attack range of said character without actually attacking.

Push responsibilities:

1. When given the order to push and the countdown do not hesitate.

2. During the countdown, re-sing your skill cycle of songs. The leader will say "get ready to push, 3, 2, 1". You should continuously flash your songs during this countdown.

3. If you are an aggressive clown, spam Bragi and Lutie at the front with the pushers. Nothing else is important. After 15 seconds continue the regular skill cycle.

4. If you are a defensive clown, spam Lutie on the Paladins. Nothing else is important. Just keep instrument switching and hitting Lutie. Each switch = a heal. If you switch 5 times a second, that's like 1k HP healed up in that second. Not much, but every little bit helps. After 10 seconds, refresh bragi, and SP song. Do NOT forget to refresh bragi and SP song for the back.


5. After the push, continue with your general responsibilities. Help to hold the new line until the next order to push is given.

Rush/wipe responsibilities:

1. When given the order to rush/wipe and the countdown do not hesitate.

2. During the countdown, re-sing your skill cycle of songs. The leader will say "get ready to push, 3, 2, 1". You should continuously flash your songs during this countdown.

3. If you are the first aggressive clown, spam Bragi and Lutie at the front with the pushers. Nothing else is important.

4. If you are the second aggressive clown and you notice a ws is inside the enemy guild, move yourself from the back of the guild into the front behind the creators and start spamming frost joke.

5. If you are a defensive clown, spam Lutie on the Paladins. Nothing else is important. Just keep instrument switching and hitting Lutie. Each switch = a heal. If you switch 5 times a second, that's like 1k HP healed up in that second. Not much, but every little bit helps. After 10 seconds, refresh bragi, and SP song.

Counter-rush responsibilities:

1. Do not panic. Do not retreat. Stay in a tight group.

2. Spam Bragi and Lutie over the guild, nothing else is important.

3. Return to town when told to do so. Not before.

Not a complicated job, and most do it well but you should always be aware of the general area the guild occupies. Offensive classes might get the glory, but clowns ensure success for any guild in WoE.
