Soul Linkers.

Linker


An essential WoE class. There is no chance for success in GvG without them, they have the 5th most important job in WoE. Although their playstyle is fairly straight forward, there's a lot to keep track of. Like a HP you'll always be busy.

General responsibilities:

1. Make sure before every WoE you have delete your entire friends list that arent in guild/online, and friend all the people who need a link. Make sure to friend the other linkers. Use "/hi LINKER LINK" to ask for link. This way the other linkers know what skill to use.

2. Like the HPs, create 1 small, separate chat window open for WoE requests. In this window, only allow Whisper chat. This will allow you to keep track of requests in party/friends without them being out messaged by buffs/guild chat/spam. YOU WILL NEED THIS TO KEEP TRACK OF THE LINKS. The guild will be asking via the /hi command. Keep this in mind.

3. Stay alive. Stay in Bragi. Do not move out of the block. Hide and Speed pot back into the guild if you need to. You should normally be at the back.

4. Bring lots of blue potions.

5. Your most used links:

-Soul Linker
-Rogue
-Bard/Dancer
-Alchemist
-Wizard
-Whitesmith
-SinX

Relink the linkers, SPP Creators, Whitesmiths every 1-2 minutes. Ensure you do so.

The High Wizards, Clowns, and Gypsies should be linked every 30seconds.

This is not a difficult task. They shouldn't have to ask, I realize you're busy Kaupe'ing, but please try to keep up the other buffs. They're just as important.

7. If you're not linking, you're using Kaupe (4th most important job in WoE). I dont want to see linkers in the back chilling not doing anything. Watch the cast circles on the guild and Kaupe whoever's being attacked. Try to be intelligent with your Kaupe spams. It helps to spam it randomly at the front, but it helps even more to spam it on someone getting bombed. Kaupe the Creators and Professors in front, make sure they come back alive, specially if they misclick out of the group!

8. Kaite in between Kaupe-ing, it should be something like Kaupe x5 -> Kaite -> Kaupe x5 -> Kaite. [color=blue]Make sure the classes up in front get it as it might save their lives!

9. The majority of linkers should be at the back of the guild (near the FS HPs and just behind the paladins). Play maturely, you don't need to see everything. Stay alive.

Push responsibilities:

1. During the countdown, relink the people who need it via friend's list. The leader will say "get ready to push, 3, 2, 1". You should begin relinking at 3.

2. During the push, spam Kaupe.

3. After a couple of seconds, relink, then continue spamming Kaupe. Help to hold the new line until the next order to push is given.

Rush/wipe responsibilities:

1. During the countdown, relink the people who need it via friend's list. The leader will say "get ready to push, 3, 2, 1". You should begin relinking at 3.

2. During the rush, spam Kaupe. Use the party window. You do not want to misclick your Kaupe on enemies. Profs, Creators and Champions are most important.

3. After a couple of seconds, relink, then continue spamming Kaupe.

Counter-rush responsibilities:

1. Do not panic. Do not retreat. Stay in a tight group.

2. Begin spamming Kaupe. Use the party window. Profs, Creators and Champions are most important.

3. Go back to town if told to. Not before.

All in all, the class has a lot to do, and needs dedicated and reliable people to do it. Offensive classes might get the glory, but it's the important Linker buffs that can turn the tide of battle through proper support.
